This Conference will strive to bring together scientists from all over the world who share a common interest in the study of bioactive neuropeptides. The meeting will provide a unique opportunity to exchange information, integrate achievements in basic research (from molecular to behavioral aspects) and clinical research on bioactive neuropeptides, as well as strengthen international collaboration.
Beijing is an ancient city, rich in culture and history. It is home to some of the ancient world's most fascinating landmarks, including the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs, the Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City, among others. Feel free to bring your family along for this unique social and cultural experience, which includes a special Social Program, and be assured you will be welcomed with the Chinese culture's traditional hospitality.
The Conference will be held at the Beijing XiJiao Hotel, located northwest of the center of Beijing. This area contains more than 10 universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University. Landmarks such as the Summer Palace, Yuanming Park, and the Fragrant Hill are also in the vicinity.
Participants are invited to submit an Abstract for presentation at the conference. All Abstracts accepted will be delivered as oral communications. A participant may be the first presenting author of one abstract only. However, a participant may be second or subsequent author on other abstracts. Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided. Abstracts must be submitted either via the Web site or via the Registration Form. Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail to Dr. Yun Wang no later than March 25, 2007. All files should be submitted in MS Word for Windows, Rich Text Format, or plain text. To ensure that special characters are reproduced correctly, please color-mark them.
Please note: Abstracts (including keywords and acknowledgement) should be no more than 1220 characters including spaces.
Title: No more than 150 characters including spaces.
Authors: (1) Enter all the co-authors' names and the presenting author's information. (2)The participant may be the first presenting author of one abstract only; however, a participant may be second or subsequent author on other abstracts.
Affiliations: Enter the institutions for all your co-authors.
Body: Abstracts submitted should describe work that has not been published or presented at other meetings. All Abstracts should include: (1) a brief introduction; (2) relevant information on methods; (3) summarized results; and (4) conclusion drawn from the results. Please avoid using statements like "the results will be discussed." Do not include figures or tables. Responsibility for the literary and scientific content of abstracts accepted for publication shall remain with the authors and their sponsoring institutions.
Keywords: No more than 4 words, presented on one single line, separated by semicolons.
Acknowledgements: Thanks should follow the keywords at the end of the abstract.
Deadline: All Abstracts must be received by the Conference Secretariat no later than March 25, 2007. All Abstracts received will be acknowledged.

The Registration Form should be completed and mailed to Dr. Yun Wang with payment. Payment should be made by check, in US dollars, to Prof. Ji-Sheng Han.
Registration fee payment on site is payable by cash or check. Attendees from outside of China are encouraged to bring traveler's checks and exchange cash in US dollars at the airport, hotel, or bank after arriving in Beijing.
All participants and their registered guests are invited to a conference reception and banquet in the Xijiao hotel. In addition to the meals, free swimming and bowling will be available. Several programs will be arranged for sightseeing in Beijing, including half-day tours to the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven and the Lama Temple, as well as a one-day tour of the Great Wall and Ming Tombs, on May 13 and May 14. Participants will be responsible for the cost of these tours.
